Devin McCourty takes part in ride-along with Boston Police

BOSTON — Patriots cornerback Devin McCourty may be leading the team's defense this fall, but he did a little extra work this offseason for the Boston Police.

The Boston Police Department's Twitter account posted pictures on Sunday of McCourty taking part in a ride-along with Boston Police Officer Jorge Dias over the weekend.

The department said the ride-along was for McCourty to "better understand and appreciate just how hard the men and women of #BPD work to keep our city safe," and said the results were positive.

With all of the pictures taken and McCourty's new uniform, it looks like he's taking the "No Days Off" motto to heart.
