Normal service resumes on Orange Line after severe delays Friday morning

BOSTON — Service is back to normal on the Orange Line after severe delays were reported early Friday morning.

Few details have been released by officials, but the MBTA said the delays were due to police activity at Stony Brook Station.

The severe delays lasted about 20 minutes before the MBTA said they upgraded the status to “moderate.”

Normal service resumed around 7 a.m., but residual delays could be expected.

No other information was released.
