BOSTON — Expect traffic delays around the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge again this summer.
Monday morning, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced construction work on the bridge and surrounding area will take place from July 26 - August 11.
MassDOT says crews will replace the westbound side of the bridge. Traffic along the bridge and on the Mass Pike will be impacted, as well as the MBTA, Commuter Rail and Amtrak.
Pedestrians and bicyclists will still be able to use the eastbound side throughout construction.
