The motive? Allow those school children - especially teenagers - get more sleep.
Officials say it's believed that could improve grades and test scores.

And it will allow kids to walk home when it's still light out - even in the dead of winter.
The new start and ent times are for the 2018-2019 school year and do not go into effect until the fall. The times also need final approval from the state.
