Boston Police hoping to identify person of interest in convenience store robbery

BOSTON — Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole an entire cash register from a Dorchester convenience store.

Police have released photos of a person of interest related to the incident. Police said the person photographed is not wanted a this time.

The robbery happened the afternoon of May 2, said police, at Maria's Market on 1760 Dorchester Ave.

Police said that the suspect grabbed the register and then fled on foot along Sanuit Street, toward Roseland Street.

Police describe the suspect is a younger black male with a beard, and was wearing a black hat, a black T-shirt over a white T-shirt, and black pants, said police.

Police have released photos of a person of interest related to the incident. Police said the person photographed is not wanted a this time.
