Annual Lyrid meteor shower peaking this weekend

For astrology fans, the annual Lyrid meteor shower will kick in this weekend.

The annual shower will peak overnight Saturday into Sunday morning, with the best viewing time before dawn on Sunday.

There's expected to be 10-20 meteors per hour, and you should look northeast to see them.

The shower is active from April 16 to April 25 each year, with the peak usually lasting less than a day.

It has the longest history of all showers, dating back somewhere around 2,700 years.
