Local startup makes Keurig-style marijuana pods

STONEHAM, Mass. — A Stoneham-based start-up has now raised more than $4 million to develop a marijuana vaporizer.

The company, CannaKorp, is creating a machine that uses marijuana pods, similar to those used in a Keurig coffee maker.

Consumers place the pod into the machine, which vaporizes the drug inside a special mug.  Then, the consumer can then inhale the marijuana vapor through the lid.

CannaKorp says they've gotten more investment offers since November, when Massachusetts voters chose to legalize the drug for recreational use.
