22-year-old OUI suspect held after fatal Brockton crash

BROCKTON, Mass. — A father of three was killed over Father's Day weekend by a drunk driver in Brockton.

Authorities say Robert Kilday, 22, was drunk nearly over the legal limit and under the influence of cocaine and marijuana when he crashed into 54-year-old Jorge Leite.

Leite's wife of 20 years and his children were at home when the crash occured.

"I miss him so much," said Leite's 15-year-old son Nevaeh. "Life is different now."

Leite's 10-year-old daughter Alyssa said

"Daddy would do anything for us," Alyssa said. "I miss him so much, life is different now. [I miss] his smile. He didn’t smile that often, so when he smiled, I’d smile."

Kilday was cuffed to a wheelchair on Thursday as he faced a judge. He is being held without bail.

"It bothers me there were no charges filed," Leite's wife Teresa said. "It helps me that there are now."
