• Two men arrested after Friday night shooting in Milford


    MILFORD, Mass. - One man remained in the hospital Saturday afternoon after a shooting Friday night in Milford.

    Police said three people were hurt in the incident, which happened just before 9 p.m. All three were brought to the hospital.

    27-year-old Keith Putnam and 40-year-old Michael S. Rooney are both facing several charges, including assault with intent to murder.

    The man still in the hospital is 67-year-old Michael E. Rooney, who had a gunshot wound in his foot.

    Police haven't released all the details surrounding their investigation, but have said the three men knew each other and said that the shooting was the result of a fight.
