Third annual "New England Cannabis Convention" arrives in Boston

BOSTON — For the first time since residents voted to legalize marijuana, marijuana experts gathered at the "New England Cannabis Convention" over the weekend to talk about education and advocacy of the drug.

Doctors, lawyers and business owners gathered at the Hynes Convention Center in regards to the medical and recreational marijuana industry in Massachusetts.

The convention's director says, thanks to the new marijuana laws in Massachusetts, more people are attending this year.

“As more people see you know the cannabis revolution is coming into our own backyards, people want to be ahead of the curb, and receive a lot of the knowledge that you know is lent here to us in the program," said Eve Santana, Director of the New England Cannabis Convention.

Some of the popular exhibits included live demonstrations of ways to infuse cannabis into food.

The convention will wrap up on Sunday afternoon.
