Stephanie Coueignoux

Now back in her hometown of Boston, Emmy Award winning journalist Stephanie Coueignoux joined Boston 25 in August 2015.

Stephanie has spent more than a decade as an anchor and reporter.

Before returning home, she was a reporter and fill-in anchor at WSOC-TV in Charlotte, NC. During her time there, she won an Emmy for “Best Weekend Newscast” as an anchor.

Stephanie was also a reporter and anchor at WKYC-TV in Cleveland, Ohio. While there, she received several awards including a local Emmy, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and an award from the Society of Professional Journalists for covering the 2012 shooting at Chardon High School. She also covered the story of three women kidnapped for years in a Cleveland home, and was the only reporter to interview Michelle Knight, one of the victims, during a live visit to the house.

Stephanie has also worked as an anchor and reporter at NEWS 13 in Orlando, Fla., WJFW in Rhinelander, Wis., and KSTF in Scottsbluff, Neb.

Stephanie grew up in Lexington, Mass. and graduated from Wellesley College, where she achieved a Bachelor's degree in psychology. She also interned at WHDH-TV in Boston, and Newton News in Newton, Mass.

Stephanie was born in France, before moving to the United States. 

She is thrilled to be back home, and in the city she and her husband were married in. They live in the greater Boston area with their daughter and two cats.
