Jacob Long is an Emmy award-winning journalist who joined the Boston 25 News team in October 2017.
Jacob comes to Boston from the Midwest, where he spent more than two years as a fill-in anchor at KSDK, the NBC affiliate in St. Louis, Missouri. It’s the very station he grew up watching as young boy from Granite City, Illinois.
Jacob also worked at television stations in Jacksonville, Florida and Peoria, Illinois. He’s had the opportunity to cover major news stories and events like the 2016 Presidential campaign, the civil unrest that followed the fatal shooting of Michael Brown and the successful separation of conjoined twin boys.
Jacob is a proud graduate of Illinois State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. When he’s not chasing down leads or reporting on breaking news, Jacob loves spending time with his golden retriever mix, Tucker, going for a run, or traveling and posting pictures on Instagram! Feel free to follow Jacob or Tucker @jacobwlong and @tuckerstl.
Jacob and his fiancé live in Boston and are so excited to explore and eat their way around the city!
