Super Bowl

Super Bowl recipe: brussel sprout dip

For those who want to mix up from the usual cheese and artichoke dip, try this twist on the recipe:

INGREDIENTS:

2 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 a medium shallot, minced

2.5 cups of chopped brussel sprouts

1 package of cream cheese, softened

1 cup of mozzarella cheese

1 cup of parmesan cheese

How to:

1. In a medium sauce pan, heat two tablespoons of olive oil over medium-low heat. Once warm, put in garlic and shallots. Continue cooking until fragrant. Then add the brussel sprouts. Continuing cooking, stirring occasionally, until wilted, about 10 minutes.

2. In a medium bowl, mix all the cheeses together, along with the salt and pepper.

3. Add the brussel sprouts to the cheese mixture. Combine.

4. Put the brussel sprout and cheese mixture in a casserole dish. Add more parmesan to the top. Put in the oven for 15 minutes on 350, and then four minutes under the broiler, until the top is just browning.

5. Take out and serve immediately, goes great with tortilla chips.
