Saturday's injuries reflected in Patriots injury report

FOXBORO — The Patriots and Steelers released their injury reports after Wednesday's workouts and Pittsburgh's report was more interesting to absorb than New England's.

Chris Hogan, Martellus Bennett, Danny Amendola, Dont'a Hightower, Brandon Bolden and Jabaal Sheard all joined Malcolm Mitchell on the report. Mitchell missed Saturday's game against Houston with a knee injury.

Hogan left Saturday's game early with a thigh injury. Bennett jammed his knee, Amendola's been dealing with ankle issues since December 4, Hightower tweaked a shoulder injury that's been persistent down the stretch, Bolden is dealing with a knee injury and Sheard banged knees with Devin McCourty in the second quarter of Saturday's win.

Each of the six Patriots were limited in practice, but all participated in one form or another.

The Steelers list was much more comprehensive and it included Le'Veon Bell and Ben Roethlisberger, who both missed practice for non-injury reasons, according to the report.

It's possible both players took Wednesday as an extra day of rest after a road game on Sunday night.

Four Steelers also missed Wednesday's practice due to illness.
