Patriots coming together during long road trip

COLORADO SPRINGS — On Thursday at the Air Force Academy the Patriots had a walk through workout at Falcon Stadium (homefield of Air Force Academy football program)

The weather was beautiful and the temperatures were in the 60’s.  The players were dressed in their own casual sweats and not wearing numbers or Patriots uniforms. Tom Brady took the field in good spirits wearing a cutoff Air Force shirt over his sweatshirt.  Brady paused on his way to the field to a group of us reporters and greeted us with a hearty “What’s up guys?”.   As he walked away, in anticipation of the upcoming game in Mexico City, I asked Brady if he spoke Spanish.  He responded with a smile, “Si....poquito”.

The players are thoroughly enjoying their experience this week at the Air Force Academy.  On Wednesday after practice they were surprised with parachute jumpers from the Air Force Academy team greeting them at the end of practice.

On Thursday the team was treated to a demonstration of a group of the Air Force mascot birds flying around the stadium and putting on a show for them.

The Patriots will have on more practice in Colorado Springs on Friday before they fly to Mexico City on Saturday.
