Patriots acquire Kyle Van Noy from Lions

FOXBORO — The Patriots have traded with the Detroit Lions to acquire Kyle Van Noy, a third-year player from Brigham Young, a source familiar with the situation has confirmed to FOX25.

Van Noy, drafted in the second round in 2014, missed a portion of his rookie season with an injury, but played in 15 games in 2015 and all seven of Detroit's games this season.

In total, Van Noy has 32 career tackles, 21 of which have come in 2016.

The Patriots have reportedly agreed to send 6th round pick to Detroit in exchange for Van Noy and a 7th rounder.
