Dedham — The Mass Bay Community College men's basketball team is heading where they have never gone before. They are getting ready to compete as one of the final 8 teams for the National Junior College Athletic Association's National Championship.
The tournament will take place in Minnesota from March 16-18th. Mass Bay has never been this far in the tournament and they are really looking forward to the opportunity.
They are led by their legendary head coach Bill Raynor. After 42 years this is Raynor's final year as head basketball coach. He will remain on as the schools Athletic Director but he is retiring from coaching.
Raynor has had an influence and positive impact on hundreds of young men over the years and this team is no exception. His players have learned a lot about winning basketball games from their coach but they have learned so much more about life and about how to become men.
