Harvard condemns a sexually explicit email from 2012 soccer team

CAMBRIDGE — Harvard is condemning a sexually explicit email that was circulated among its 2012 men's soccer team that rated the attractiveness and made lewd references about members of the women's soccer team.

Details of the email surfaced this week in the school's student newspaper, The Harvard Crimson. The paper reports that men called the nine-page document their "scouting report." It included photos and sexual comments about individual recruits to the women's team.

The document was shared among the men's team on a website that could be accessed by the public until recently. The author, who isn't identified, refers to a similar report the year before.

Harvard Athletics Director Bob Scalise says he's deeply upset by the remarks, adding that his department has zero tolerance for that kind of behavior.
