Gronk announces he will play for the Patriots this season

A horse named for Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots qualified for the Kentucky Derby on May 5.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Gronk is back! The Patriots star tight end's future plans have been a mystery since the Super Bowl loss in February, but on Tuesday he confirmed plans to return.

Rob Gronkowski posted on Instagram jus after 6 p.m. saying he had a meeting with Coach Bill Belichick and will be back for the 2018 season with the Patriots.

Gronk said he's been staying in shape during the off season and is "looking forward to another championship run."
