FOX 25 GameDay: Haverhill beats North Andover

In this week's FOX25 High School GameDay Game of the Week, the Haverhill Hillies went into North Andover and put a whooping on the Scarlet Knights, 34-7, at Joe Walsh Field.

Haverhill was coming off a tough opening week loss to St. Johns Prep and they were in no mood to lose for a second week. North Andover won their opener on the road last week.

Haverhill served notice right away on their first offensive drive of the game, when quarterback Broghean McGovern threw a seven-yard TD pass to senior wide receiver Juuka Morales to make it 7-0.

In the second quarter, McGovern went up top again, this time for 32 yards to senior wide receiver Aaron Brooks to make it 14-0.

North Andover came right back with a sweet 50-yard TD pass and catch from quarterback Jake McElroy to sophomore wide receiver Darren Watson. The score at the half was 14-7 Haverhill.

The second half was all Hillies. Haverhill scored three more times and ended up with 392 yards of total offense for the game.  In the third quarter, McGovern and Jukka Morales hooked up again for another TD pass, this time from 45 yards.

Haverhill scored two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Jean-Charles Laguerre ran it in from 4 yards out to make it 28-7 and the last six of the game came from RB Teshaun Watson to make the final score 34-7 Haverhill.
