Division 7 state title goes to Mashpee over Blackstone Valley Tech

FOXBORO — In the closest game of the day at Gillette Stadium Mashpee holds on down the stretch and holds off a late rally from Blackstone Valley Tech to win the Division 7 state championship 22-16.

With Blackstone Valley Tech driving to try and tie the game or go ahead Mashpee defensive back Kendall Rose intercepted a pass with 1:05 left to seal the win.

Devan Ford scored the game winning touchdown in the third quarter when he broke a tackle at midfield and ran 54 yards for the score

It's the third state championship in a row for the Mashpee Falcons
