David Price solid in Grapefruit League debut

FORT MYERS, FL — Red Sox pitcher David Price allowed one hit while striking out five and walking one in his first Grapefruit League start of 2018, a game Boston won 7-5 against the Blue Jays.

Price, who hasn't started a game for the Red Sox since last July. has been slowly brought up to speed, along with many of Boston's pitchers.

Today, he looked sharp against Toronto, facing 14 batters. He left the game with the Red Sox leading 5-0 in the fourth.

Christian Vazquez and Rafael Devers both drove in two runs in the win. Vazquez hit a two-run home run in the second inning.

Mookie Betts, Andrew Benintendi, JD Martinez and Xander Bogaerts all doubled as the Red Sox finished with 10 hits.
