Danny Amendola reportedly will sign with Dolphins

Danny Amendola is expected to sign with the Miami Dolphins, a source has told the NFL Network

Amendola has repeatedly restructured his contract to remain in New England, but apparently not this time, as he's prepared to cash in on a string of success, both in the regular season and the postseason.

In five seasons with the Patriots, Amendola played in three Super Bowls, winning two, proving to be a valuable weapon in the New England offense. catching 230 passes in the regular season and another 57 in the postseason with a total of 18 touchdowns.

Originally signed in 2013 and viewed as a replacement for Wes Welker in the Patriots offense, Amendola found stiff competition for that role in Julian Edelman, who emerged as one of Tom Brady's top options.

Nonetheless, Amendola made a number of clutch catches in the postseason, including the game-winner against the Jaguars in this year's AFC Championship Game.
