Celts slow start costly as Wizards win easily

WASHINGTON, DC — Any thoughts of a sweep for the Celtics in this second round series with Washington are now gone.  On Thursday night at the Verizon Center in DC the Wizards totally dominated the Boston Celtics 116-89 to win game 3.

John Wall led a balanced Wizards offense with 24 points and 8 assists.  The Wizards had six players in double figures including all of their starters.

One game after his record setting 53 point performance in game three, Isaiah Thomas was held to 13 points. He was 0-2 on the only two three pointers he took.  This game was so out of hand that Thomas sat out the entire 4th quarter

The Wizards led by 26 after three quarters (95-69) and won going away.  They will look to tie this series up at on Sunday at home. Game 4 is scheduled to start at 6:30 Sunday night.  Game 5 will be played in Boston on Wednesday night starting at 8:00.
