Celtics revamped roster ready to go

After a long, action-packed offseason in Boston, it’s finally time for the Celtics to open up the regular season on the road against the Cavaliers on Tuesday night.

Fans will finally get to see the debuts of Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward in Celtics uniforms in regular season action, and will likely see the duo starting alongside Al Horford, Jaylen Brown and the debuting third overall pick from the 2017 NBA Draft, Jayson Tatum. For some added intrigue, Irving will be going up against the same team that traded him just two months ago, starting his Celtics career in the same city that drafted him back in 2011.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers may be without their star for opening night, as LeBron James is still recovering from a sprained ankle that limited his on-court action throughout the preseason and is working his way back for a potential return. The two teams will go at it on the national stage on TNT on Tuesday night, and it’ll be interesting to see who makes it out onto the court in Cleveland for a rebuilt Cavaliers roster, alongside a brand new Celtics group.
