Celtics Amir Johnson joins kids for tour of JetBlue's operations

BOSTON — Celtics center Amir Johnson was quite the tour guide Monday afternoon as students from Winthrop Middle School received a behind-the-scenes look at JetBlue's operations at Logan Airport.

Johnson was joined by Celtics mascot “Lucky” the Leprechaun, the Celtics Dancers, and JetBlue Partnership Spokesperson Ronda McLeod.

“Being able to take a behind the scenes tour and see something not many people get to experience is a great opportunity for these kids,” said Johnson. “Combine that with the element of competition and fun, and it all equals up to a pretty cool initiative.”

“We are excited to partner with the Boston Celtics on the Rookie Flight Crew initiative,” said McLeod. “Through partnerships like this, JetBlue and our education-focused foundation are encouraging excitement around STEM.”
