Boston College advances to national title game

FOXBORO — The Boston College womens lacrosse team beat Navy 16-15 Friday night to advance to the national championship game for the first time in school history.

Kenzie Kent scored five goals as the Eagles rallied in the second half to overcome a 9-6 halftime deficit.

BC will face Maryland in the national championship game. The top-ranked Terrapins beat Penn State 20-10 in the first game of Friday's doubleheader. Sunday's appearance in the title game will be Maryland's fifth consecutive.
