EDMONTON — Bruins forward David Backes will likely play Thursday when the Bruins face the Oilers.
Backes told reporters before Thursday's game he will see how his injured knee feels after warmups, but he expects to play. He was injured in the first period of last night's game against Calgary.

Backes was helped off the ice and taken to the dressing room, but returned to the lineup and scored a goal.

The Bruins are 5-2 in March and 12-3 since Bruce Cassidy took over the head coaching responsibilities from Claude Julien.
