Firehouse Friday: Holden Fire Department

In the fire service, technical is a low frequency but high risk event; training is specific and constant. In today’s Firehouse Friday the Holden Fire Department gives us a peek.

As part of the District 8 Technical Rescue Team the Holden Fire Department houses one of the trailers and 8 district team members.  The trailer is equipped with any tools and materials the team may need for events like confined space, high angle, trench, or collapse rescue. With the trailer located right on site Holden Firefighters are able to train whenever they need to do or want to.  It keeps them up to speed with any new strategies and master traditional techniques so they are prepared for any type of call when the tones go off.
