We are having so much fun this summer at our Zip Trips and 2e're looking forward to continuing our season in Lowell tomorrow. Join us on Martin Luther Kings Jr Way, next to the Tsongas Center from 6 to 10am. We have some wonderful guests, a great performance, and scrumptious food samples. Stop by and say 'hi' or tune in to catch the show.
Lowell isn't just hosting the Zip Trip this weekend, the 31st annual Lowell Folk Festival kicks off tomorrow as well! Most of the downtown area will become festival grounds when the dance parade kicks off tomorrow night at 6pm. All weekend, bounce around to hear traditional music from all five stages, watch authentic craft demonstrations, pick from a great variety of ethnic foods, and let the kids burn off some energy with the children's activities. It's a perfect way for your whole family to have a great time this weekend.
Finally, Saturday, channel your inner superhero and visit Boston Winery in Dorchester to raise money for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation! The wine tasting fundraiser is organized by Boston 25 Morning News Anchor Julie Grauert and will feature exciting silent auction and raffle items, food from Venezia, and delicious locally-made wine. You can also meet Rob Summers, the first paralyzed man in the world to undergo a groundbreaking experimental surgery that has allowed him to re-gain movement and even stand with a walker. The event starts at 5pm and tickets are sold at the door for $50. All proceeds will go towards the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.
Whatever you do this weekend, make it a great one!
