BOSTON — A young boy is on life support at Mass. General Hospital after being pulled from a pool in East Boston.
The Boston Fire Department was called to 156 Trenton Street around 4:15 p.m. for a report of a possible drowning in the backyard pool.
Neighbors told Boston 25 News the 6-year-old boy was a guest at the home.
“It’s the only house on this block with a pool,” neighbor Marie Alessandro said.
Police said they believe this was accidental, but they did post crime scene tape while interviewing adults near the pool.
“I’d like to think somebody was there with them. Like I said, if I had a pool I’d let my kids use it, but not without me there," Alessandro said.
