Yarmouth man arrested for Hyannis armed robbery

YARMOUTH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man was arrested Monday for an armed robbery of a Tedeschi Food Shops in Hyannis.

Yarmouth police responded to Camp Street in West Yarmouth just after noon on Monday to search for a man they suspected robbed the convenience store. The man was described as wearing a black mask, gray sweatshirt and riding a blue bicycle.

A man in a pickup truck told police he had seen the suspect flee into a house on Camp Street, at the address of Kyle Rosenlund, a man police said was well-known to them.

Both Barnstable and Yarmouth police surrounded the house and convinced Rosenlund to leave the house. Police then arrested him, and learned that before entering Tedeschi, Rosenlund had entered a Sav-On gas station wearing a  mask, but fled without taking any money.

The 21-year-old is being held overnight at Barnstable Police Headquarters and will be arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Tuesday, charged with "numerous felony crimes" by both Yarmouth and Barnstable police departments.
