Yarmouth EMTs deliver baby girl

YARMOUTH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A group of EMTs from the Yarmouth Fire Department delivered a baby girl in West Yarmouth.

Fire officials responded to an emergency call regarding a mother in labor early Wednesday morning. When crews arrived at the scene, they immediately jumped into action and realized the baby girl was not going to wait to get to the hospital.

At about 3:42 a.m., less than two minutes after arrival of EMS crews, Grace Bovino was born.

"It's an amazing and rewarding thing, watching a baby being born," said Lt. Morley, "Most of our calls don't always have happy results".

Baby Grace, who weighed 7 pounds and was 20 inches long, joined her big sister, Annie, and proud parents, Michael and Kate Bovino at Cape Cod Hospital.
