BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The 2013 World Irish Dance Championships have come to Boston.
More than 40 dancers, some as young as 10-years-old, will compete in Boston through the week.
A local favorite, 16-year-old Melissa McCarthy, who trains in Walpole, is expected to defend her "17 and Under Solo" trophy at this year's competition.
This is the second time the international competition has been outside of Ireland or Scotland.
