• Worker pinned beneath tractor trailer flown to hospital


    ANDOVER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – An employee working for a Stoughton-based contractor was transported to a Boston hospital via helicopter after his lower extremities were freed from beneath a tractor trailer.

    Authorities told FOX 25 the incident occurred at an Andover worksite around 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday.

    Local police and firefighters, as well as the Massachusetts State Police Truck Team, responded to the scene. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was also alerted.

    The worker, who is employed by JF White, became pinned beneath the trailer portion of a tractor trailer.

    According to police, workers were attempting to load the trailer, which was hauling a backhoe, onto the tractor portion when the trailer flipped.

    It took crews 15 minutes to free the victim. The male victim was reportedly conscious and alert throughout the rescue.
