WORCESTER, Mass. — A local teenager was arrested by Worcester Police for making threats to the Central MA Academy, according to police.

Police responded to the school on Tuesday at around 1 p.m. for reports of a student making threats against the school.

Officers first spoke with the director of the school who told them the administration had discovered that one of their students had posted threatening messages against the school. The threats were posted to the suspect's Facebook page which has since been taken down.

The student, identified as Nathaniel Archeval, 18, of Worcester, is a known member of a local gang within the city.

According to school staff members, the threats caused anxiety and fear to all.

Archeval was charged with Threat to Hijack or Disruption of School.

He was transported to a police station for processing and then transported to the Worcester County District Court House to be arraigned.
