HOPEDALE, Mass. (AP)- A Worcester assistant district attorney and former candidate for state representative was arrested on a drunken driving charge last weekend.
The Worcester Telegram reports that Gina DiBaro was arrested by Hopedale police on Sunday after driving erratically and failing several field sobriety tests.
In a police report, an officer said DiBaro briefly drove away in the middle of the stop and appeared disoriented.
The 43-year-old DiBaro was released on personal recognizance after her arraignment Monday.
A spokesman for the Worcester District Attorney's office said DiBaro has been placed on unpaid administrative leave.
DiBaro ran unsuccessfully in 2010 for the Democratic nomination in the 13th Worcester District.
The answering machine at a listing for DiBaro was full Tuesday and no request for comment could be left.
