Worcester police identify man killed at junkyard

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - Worcester police say a man who was crushed to death by a minivan at a junkyard last week appears to have been trespassing while trying to steal auto parts after hours.

Authorities told the Telegram & Gazette that 42-year-old Paul Sizemore of Barre went into the junkyard at Sam's Pull-A-Part sometime after it closed Thursday and jacked up the minivan in a presumed effort to steal parts.

A worker at the junkyard says the jack apparently gave way and the vehicle crushed Sizemore, whose body was found Friday morning after the business opened.

The junkyard is run by Linder's automotive. Linder's parts manager Christopher DiMarzio says the company has had a problem with auto parts thefts, especially with catalytic converters.
