WORCESTER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Panhandling is now against the law in Worcester.
The City Council gave overwhelming final approval to two ordinances Tuesday night that outlawed people from soliciting money from drivers.
The 9-2 vote was the end of a nine-year effort by past and present councils to address panhandling.
Those found guilty of violating the ordinances can be punished with a fine of up to $50 or community service.
