Worcester man killed in single-car crash

SHREWSBURY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The 23-year-old from Worcester has been identified by police as the victim of a fatal single-car crash in Shrewsbury.

Investigators say Jonathan C. Ball was pronounced deceased at UMass Medical Center after the Tuesday night crash.

Shrewsbury police responded to the scene on Main Street near St. John's High School at about 10 p.m. They believe Ball was traveling east on Main Street when he crossed into the westbound lane and off the roadway, colliding with a tree.

The crash remains under investigation.
