Worcester experiences three violent attacks in under an hour

WORCESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Authorities in Worcester are investigating a series of violent attacks that all occurred within one hour of each other early Sunday morning.

According to The Worcester Telegram, the first incident occurred at about 1:20 a.m. near 139 Lincoln Street. A 28-year-old man was shot in the leg during an armed robbery. The suspect fled after stealing the man's wallet. The victim was taken to an area hospital.

The second incident occurred at about 1:45 a.m. Police told the newspaper a 19-year-old woman was stabbed by a female suspect during a fight on Upland Gardens Drive. The victim was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive. The female suspect was arrested following the attack.

At about 2:40 a.m. officers were called to a reported stabbing at 336 Main St. A fight had occurred outside The Venue club and a 36-year-old man was stabbed in the buttocks while trying to break up the fight, reports the newspaper.
