Worcester County DA tied to arrest report alteration in new court filing

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester County District Attorney has now been linked to the alteration of a state police arrest report last year,

Documents filed in federal court clam that D.A. Joseph Early was involved in the conspiracy to change what was written after a judge’s daughter was arrested.

Early is not a defendant, but is named in a motion to dismiss the case against former state police Col. Richard McKeon, who retired shortly after the altered report became public.

Two troopers who say they were instructed to change that police report are suing the state police.

In December, Boston 25 News asked Early if his office asked for that report to be changed. He said he would let the Attorney General’s Office review of the case handle itself in court.
