Worcester boating accident being investigated

WORCESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police are investigating a boating accident that took place overnight Wednesday.

Authorities tell a FOX 25 photographer on the scene that a boat on Lake Quinsigamond struck a barge around 1:30 a.m.

The boat reportedly sank in the lake.

Four people were on the boat and there were reports of injuries. One is reportedly a 28-year-old Millbury man listed in critical condition.

Officials are taking a look at whether one of the safety lights on that barge was working at the time of the crash.
