NORTH ATTLEBORO (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Two women are accused of using a baby carriage to steal clothes from the Emerald Square mall in North Attleboro.
The Sun Chronicle reports 23-year-old Stephanie M. Perez and 23-year-old Silvanna I. Torres were arrested Friday after attempting to leave the JCPenney store and were released for arraignment Tuesday in Attleboro District Court.
The court was forced to issue warrants for their arrests when Perez and Torres failed to appear at the arraignment. The pair is charged with larceny of more than $250 worth of property.
Police said an infant was in the carriage when they concealed $800 worth of clothing. They were stopped by security when they allegedly tried to leave the store with the clothing, police said.
