UPTON, Mass. (AP) - The Worcester district attorney says foul play isn't suspected in the death of a 48-year-old woman whose body was found in a pond near her Upton home.
DA Joseph Early said Tuesday that Sheryl Mayo was reported missing at about 3 p.m. on Monday. Her body was found a short time later in Pratt Pond about 15 feet from shore. The pond is behind her home on Kiwanis Beach Road.
Her death remains under investigation and the medical examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine a cause of death.
