Woman with infant mugged on Worcester playground

WORCESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Worcester say a young mother with an infant was the victim of an armed robbery last Friday.

Police said the woman was at the Kendrick Park playground when she was approached by a man with a knife. The man demanded her purse. He got away with a cell phone and some other items.

The man was last seen running toward the railroad tracks by West Boylston Street. He is described as white, in his 40s with a scruffy beard and dirty blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and dark colored pants.
