Arrest made in robbery, dragging of woman in Market Basket parking lot

LONDONDERRY, N.H. — Police have arrested a woman who allegedly stole another woman's purse and then dragged her with a car in a Market Basket parking lot.

The victim was loading groceries into her vehicle when two women in a car approached her. One of the women got out of the car and asked the victim for a cigarette before grabbing her purse and jumping back into the car.

The victim immediately tried to grab the purse from the thief, but the car took off and the woman was dragged for several feet.

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The two women wasted no time using the victim’s credit cards once they got away with her purse. Police said the victim’s credit cards were used at a Walmart in Methuen.

Monday afternoon, Angela Tremblay was arrested in Salem on an unrelated charge. Hours later, she was arrested and booked by Londonderry police on robbery and reckless conduct charges. The reckless conduct charge comes from the fact that Tremblay was the driver and dragged the victim, police say.

Tremblay will be arraigned on Wednesday morning.
