Woman charged with OUI after deadly Andover crash

ANDOVER, Mass. — A woman from Lawrence is accused of driving under the influence and hitting and killing a man on I-495 in Andover Wednesday night.

Shiina Dionne, 28, is charged with speeding, motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence and failure to wear a seat belt.

Danny Coady, a 41-year-old tow truck operator from North Andover, was killed in the crash.

He was standing next to his truck in the breakdown lane loading a vehicle onto his flatbed when police say Dionne crashed into him.

Coady was brought to Saint's Memorial Hospital in Lowell, where he died.

Dionne was arraigned Friday afternoon at Tufts Medical Center, where she is recovering from the crash. A not guilty plea was entered on her behalf.

A judge set Dionne's bail at $2,500, ordered her to remain drug and alcohol free and ordered her not to drive.

The case remains under investigation by State Police, the Essex State Police Detective Unit, and the Essex District Attorney's Office.
