Woman charged with OUI in Milford crash

MILFORD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A woman has been arrested in connection with a two-car crash that sent multiple people to the hospital on Saturday night.

According to police, Elizabeth Facey, 21, of Milford was driving the car with her 3-year-old daughter in the back seat. Milford police arrested her and charged her with operating under the influence.

The crash happened at the intersection of Route 16 and Beaver Street in Milford at around 9:30 p.m. One of the vehicles involved careened into a quarry.

Police say that a car ran a red light and hit a white van, with four people inside it, from behind. The van then went into a quarry filled the water.

The van's passengers, one adult and three children, were able to get out with the help from passersby. One young girl was seriously injured.

The crash required a "major response" from emergency services, and ultimately six people were sent to UMass Medical Center.
