Woman carjacked, run over in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A woman was carjacked and then run over Thursday in Fall River.

At about 8:43 a.m., police responded to the area of 1023 North Main St. and found that a 66-year-old woman was standing next to her car when a man jumped into the driver's seat. She tried to pull him out, but he put the car in reverse, which knocked the woman to the ground. Her arm was run over by the car as the man drove off.

The woman was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as a white man who is about 35 years old and stands about 5 feet, 11 inches tall. He is bald and was last seen driving a 2012 gray Kia Soul with Mass. plate number 766-XX4
